Montréal Casino & Hotel
Île Notre-Dame, Montréal, Québec, Canada
In brief
Montréal Casino & Hotel occupies former Expo Sixty-Seven pavilions on Île Notre-Dame, in the Parc Jean-Drapeau on the Saint Lawrence. The complex is written up here as a building and a set of public rooms. Restaurants, bars and a live programme are the parts described; the gaming floor is not covered anywhere on this site.
The building
The main volume is a tall glazed pavilion from the world fair, joined to a lower neighbouring pavilion and reworked inside as one complex. Public levels are stacked around an open core, and terraces face the river and the city skyline. A cabaret room, restaurants and cafés sit within the same envelope.
Things to note
Access is by bridge or by metro to Jean-Drapeau, and the island fills up when festivals are held on the park grounds. Entry conditions are set by the operator and can change. A minimum age applies on the premises, so check the current terms before travelling.
